Idle Distiller Tycoon FAQ: Offline Play, Devices, Progress and Support

Yes. The game is free on the App Store and Google Play. It is funded by optional in-app purchases and rewarded ads. Every season can be completed without spending money; purchases and ads speed things up, they do not gate progress.

iPhone and iPad on iOS 15.2 or later, and Android phones and tablets on Android 8.0 or later. There is no browser version. On Windows the game is listed through Google Play Games on PC, which has its own system requirements. There is no separate Mac game, but the iPhone and iPad app can be installed from the Mac App Store on Macs with Apple silicon (macOS 12.1 or later). A Windows download offered anywhere other than Google Play Games on PC, or an APK offered outside Google Play, is not from us.

The game is about running breweries and distilleries, so it references alcohol throughout. The App Store listing is rated 18+ and the Google Play listing is Teen; each store applies its own rating rules to the same content. There is no gambling, no real-money prizes and nothing explicit in the game.

No. Kano does not publish mods, modified APKs or codes for Idle Distiller Tycoon. Anything advertised as an Idle Distiller mod APK is a third-party repack, not a Kano release, and a common source of malware. Use the official free version from the App Store or Google Play so updates, cloud saves and support work.

Yes. Idle Distiller Tycoon is the full title on both stores. Players and search results shorten it to Idle Distiller. It is one game with one save.

Yes. Every production line you have automated keeps earning while the app is closed, at the same rate as when you are playing, and you collect what it earned on your next visit. Lines you have not automated need you in the game to collect from them. You do need an internet connection when you open the app so events, leaderboards and your cloud save can sync.

Bottle caps upgrade characters and renovate businesses. Each upgrade takes bottle caps plus that character’s or business’s cards, and each level costs more than the last. You earn caps from customer milestones, goals, crates, event rewards and rewarded ads; the store also sells them for Ice Diamonds. Automation requirements ask for characters at set levels, so caps are the durable currency to plan around. They carry over between seasons.

Cards are specific to one character or one business and are spent with bottle caps to upgrade it. Ice Diamonds are the premium currency: they buy crates, time skips and bottle caps in the store, and they can stand in for cards you are short of. Both carry over between seasons.

You move to a new town with a new set of businesses and the story advances (the corrupt mayor is not finished with you). Your cash and customers reset, which is the prestige loop the genre is built on. Your bottle caps, Ice Diamonds, cards, character upgrades and business renovations carry over, so a business you reopen is at the renovation level you left it. Yes. Events run regularly, each with its own short economy, goals, milestone rewards and a leaderboard. Milestone rewards come from your own progress through the event, not from your leaderboard finish, so you do not need to place near the top to come away with bottle caps and cards. Finishing near the top is competitive.

Open the business and check its automation requirement. Automation opens from the second season and asks for a named character at a set level plus cash; the character and level change from season to season and are shown on the business (look for the green circular arrows). You level characters with bottle caps and that character’s cards. Once automated, a line collects for itself, including while the app is closed. Then push your best line toward its next customer milestone (25, 50, 100 customers and so on), which multiplies its profit and pays a few caps and cards. Yes. It is called Brew Pass. It has a Free track and a Premium track, and completing daily tasks and milestones earns stars that unlock the next pass level and its rewards: Ice Diamonds, bottle caps, Ad Tickets and a Special Card character unique to that pass season. Open it from the icon on the main map to see the current tracks and the price. Kano’s introduction to Brew Pass covers the basics.

Sign in through the in-game Settings menu to link your save to a cloud account. Once linked, installing the game on a new device and signing in with the same account restores your progress. Link before you switch phones; an unlinked save lives only on the device it was created on.

Close and reopen the game first; a reward that has not been delivered is often granted on the next launch. If it still is not there, contact support with your player ID (Settings → Support) and roughly when you watched the ad.

Update the game and your OS, restart the phone, make sure it has free storage and close other apps. If it keeps happening, contact support with your device model, OS version and roughly when it happened.

The guided tutorial runs through the first season and eases off after that; you can tap through story dialogue quickly. There is no setting to turn the story panels off.
